My journey through Graphic and Digital Media
Embarking on my Bachelor’s in Graphic and Digital Media at University College Artesis Plantijn has been more than an academic pursuit—it’s been a transformative journey. From the outset, I was driven by an intense passion for visual storytelling and a deep commitment to innovation in design. Each class and project offered new insights and skills, pushing me to continually refine my craft. Alongside my professors, who offered invaluable guidance and inspiration, I grew not only as a designer but also as a communicator and thinker.
My studies went beyond the digital screen, delving into materials like paper and exploring their tactile qualities, textures, and capabilities. Each project became a unique experiment—testing different papers, natural inks, and recycled materials to create designs that balance aesthetic appeal with environmental impact. Researching sustainability allowed me to evaluate every design choice, striving to minimize waste and reduce environmental footprint while still producing compelling visuals.
Throughout this journey, my professors have been invaluable, constantly encouraging me to think creatively and responsibly. Their support helped transform my approach to design, making it not only about function and form but about the lasting impact of each choice. Now, as I look ahead, I am excited to continue integrating sustainability with creativity in every project I take on.
Reflecting on the challenges, I remember countless hours spent perfecting details, experimenting with textures, colors, and interactive elements. Each project allowed me to bridge the gap between creativity and functionality, turning ideas into compelling digital experiences.
Now, as I stand on the threshold of new opportunities, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. I hope to bring the skills and values I’ve gained into the professional world, contributing to projects that inform, inspire, and transform.
