Maine Coon Café by Gina’s Dream
A concept study by QUVVNIV Design
Maine Coon Café by Gina’s Dream is a concept proposal developed as a study of atmosphere, hospitality, feline wellbeing, and emotional design.
The project explores how a café dedicated to Maine Coon cats can become more than a themed space. The intention was to create a curated environment where people and cats can coexist naturally, with comfort, movement, intimacy, and visual identity considered as part of the same experience.
The proposal combines interior direction, spatial storytelling, custom cat-centered furniture, decorative concepts, character-based artwork, and small brand extensions. Each element was designed to support both the visitors’ experience and the cats’ physical and emotional needs.
A central part of the concept is the integration of feline architecture into the interior. Cat trees, climbing structures, hidden resting areas, under-stair solutions, wall pathways, and private cat zones are not treated as secondary additions, but as part of the café’s visual language. The goal is to make functional cat elements feel intentional, sculptural, and harmonious with the overall atmosphere.
The visual direction is built around warm, earthy tones, deep green, muted gold, natural wood, textured surfaces, and soft lighting. These choices create a calm, residential feeling, closer to a private salon than a commercial pet café.
The project also includes a series of cat paintings based on archetypes. Each cat is imagined as a character with a specific emotional presence — the philosopher, the quiet authority, the melancholic, the keeper, the romantic, the one who knows too much. This gives the café a narrative layer and transforms the walls into a quiet story world.
One of the most personal parts of the proposal is the tribute to Zigo and Espaso, represented in the portrait with their owner. Their presence adds a memorial dimension to the project, reminding us that animals are not decorative figures, but beings connected to memory, affection, and identity.
Beyond interior design, the concept also suggests small collectible objects, such as personalized charms for pets and owners. These pieces would allow visitors to take a part of the café experience with them, extending the emotional and visual identity of the space beyond the visit itself.
Overall, Maine Coon Café by Gina’s Dream is imagined as a layered experience: a café, a feline environment, a quiet gallery, and a place of connection. It is a proposal about designing not only for function, but for atmosphere, memory, and the subtle relationship between humans and animals.
