Preparation of the photo novels

This project was intended to contain a series of moments, photographed to exude a specific range of emotions and thoughts.

The main focus of these photo series is to describe certain moments through digital narrative photography, which are also presented in an abstract way in this publication.

The strange angles, the focus on certain details such as specific movements, but also the feelings that the chosen examples should make the audience experience.

These publications take you on a journey of discovery to new depths in different contexts. The humanity of the moment is an important sub-theme of the series and a very important aspect according to Robert Frank. By making these photos, the intention was to show what freezing a moment does, what feelings it conveys and how important it is to capture forever.

This collection gives a deeper understanding of life, and how we perceive it, when all I needed most to show this was time and light.

For you as a reader, I invite you to take the time and practice the arts of observation and imagination, both of which will yield insights that will help you learn compassion. You can give personal meaning to everything you see, as they are doors to moments in the past that also allow for a new perspective on the future.

As a photographer, I've captured moments in my mind, but also with my camera, and series of truths painted by light, presented in stories I've worked to put together. Over the years I have had saved moments, but now I deal with the most recent ones, to better save moments that can only be seen than described in any other way to fully understand them. My work is about seeing things that are ordinary with a new perspective, creating a new perspective on life and everything related to it. Such moments were captured not just to photograph prejudice, which is limiting and fake, as Dorothea Lange says. These photos are meant to extract moments from actions that can be seen as a form of expression of accidental captures.

A sequential narration

The words in Romanian add a touch of mystery to non-speakers of this language, but also sketch a discreet link to my childhood and hometown, as well as the place where I grew up and made most of my memories and a unique sense of life.

There are two systematic aspects present in the books, and they could be understood as the reasons why these books are a series. Each photo novel is visualized not only by photos, but also by the special effects that are created analogously and placed on the photos. The second aspect is the artistic urge to create a visual set of dictionaries that would add more perspective and depth to current knowledge.
